TEACHING IS AN ART

                Learning, for me is never ending process. Time when teacher closing the lecture session doesn’t mean that students’ learning process will end. It is because in the next session student will learn something new and it happens again and again to reach the perfectness of the subject. In this part of lecture session, there are three things that teacher has to do.

                First, sum up the lesson. In the end of the session, teacher should give the summary of the topic that has been explained. The summary is the main point of the lecture session. Teacher has to explain it and give stress in some important point. It is better for teacher to give the handout of the material to the students after summarize the topic verbally in the class.

                Second, tell the next topic for the next session. Teacher tells the topic that will be discussed in the next session. The purpose of this activity is to make the student prepare the basic knowledge of the material that will be discussed. Moreover, this activity can motivate the student to learn at home.

                Third, build their curiosity. Before the students go home, teacher has to give a question that can make them more cheerful to enter the next session. Teacher has to feel what the students feel, see what they see, and think what they think. After that, teacher can find question that can build their interest in learning. With this question, student will try to find the answer by themselves and cannot wait the next session because students want to know whether or not the answer is right.

                Therefore, if you do those activities, I believe that your student will more interest to come to your class in the next session. Good luck for your teaching!
